“Mexican Flavors and Charm”Jazmin's was our favorite dining experience in Los Cabos. The food was the best and the atmosphere, service, and entertainment made the evening even more special. We were seated on the balcony where a breeze kept temperatures comfortable. Deeper into the expansive restaurant there was an open-air patio, another dining area, and a room for large groups, as well as several seats by the bar. They have live entertainment, folkloric dancers two or three times a week, strolling musicians the evening we were there. Very entertaining. We ordered vegetarian dishes, even a vegetarian tamale! It was the most delicious of all the wonderful food we found in Los Cabos. The tamales are infused with flavor and topped with a delicious green sauce, cotijo cheese, and a light drizzle of sour cream. I ordered a combo plate with enchiladas, a chile relleno, quesadillas, grilled veggies, and perfect guacamole. Everything was prepared to perfection and served on a sizzling platter. We savored every bite, but couldn't eat it all. The hotel refrigerator served us well; the tamale, veggies, and quesadillas reheated well the next day. Limonada is my new favorite refreshing drink (a fresh lime/some lemon/sparkling water non-alcoholic concoction that makes your whole mouth happy). Everyone was so welcoming and our waiter was attentive. The food was reasonably priced, for being in the center of the touristy old town. We found that restaurants in the Los Cabos tourist areas generally cost only slightly less than a comparable meal in Oregon. (Cabo San Lucas seemed a little higher than San Jose del Cabo.) Jazmin's is delightful in every way. We're so glad it was recommended to us! .
I don't know what I loved more, the food or the atmosphere. Both were amazing as well as the service. I was provided the option of having a handmade, fresh salad to be prepared right in front of me. But I am a carnivore so I decided to go with the Flank Steak Fajitas instead. This was actually my first time having fajitas and did I ever make the right choice. They were cooked with grilled red and yellow peppers and onions. The meal also came with rice which was placed inside two small, edible tortilla chip cups and beans. Just when I thought the night could not get any better, out came four dancers dressed beautifully from head to toe. There were several performances, each with different themed attire. Also, there was a mariachi band that went around to all the tables and sang songs. For what I paid, I would say that I more than got my money's worth. The price of the meals and drinks was a little above average but with everything else, it's hard to argue.
